Medevac Indonesia: national and international coordination desk

Indonesia Medevac is an independent coordination desk and charter broker, part of Juara Holding Group. We arrange licensed helicopter, air-ambulance, commercial-stretcher, fast-boat and ground transfers from remote sites and vessels across the archipelago, and liaise with hospitals and your insurer or assistance company. We own no aircraft.

Read this first. We are not an emergency service. We do not operate aircraft, employ doctors, give diagnoses or run rescue. Response times depend on the licensed operator, weather, daylight and pre-authorisation and are never guaranteed. Every case is quoted individually. In a life-threatening emergency call 112, 118/119 or 115 before anything else.

Data column D · Sign-off and document stack

What must exist before wheels-up, and who signs it

A 2024 readiness study found that Indonesia has no single national medevac coordination authority. That gap is the reason this desk exists: someone has to chase every one of these signatures in parallel.

  1. 01

    Fit-to-fly sign-off and crew roles

Flight doctor and air nurse roles per Kepmenkes 882/Menkes/SK/X/2009.

Signs: treating doctor, countersigned by the flight doctor.

  2. 02

    Foreign-aircraft flight approval

PM 66/2015, using the Article 16 medical-evacuation exemption for foreign-registered air ambulances.

Files: the licensed operator; the desk tracks it.

  3. 03

    Receiving-hospital acceptance

Bed, consultant and unit confirmed in writing before departure.

Signs: receiving hospital admissions or duty consultant.

  4. 04

    Insurer or assistance pre-authorisation

Guarantee of payment to the operator and the receiving hospital; usually decides the mode.

Signs: insurer or assistance company case handler.

  5. 05

    Employer duties

Occupational health obligations under Health Law 17/2023 and Permenkes 14/2021 for sites and vessels.

Signs: employer HSE or vessel operator; covered by the retainer page.

  6. 06

    BPJS / JKN emergency rule

Emergency cases need no referral letter, restated 25 Nov 2025; relevant for inbound public-hospital transfers.

Applies at: the public receiving hospital.

  7. 07

    Medical and passport data handling

Consent and minimum-necessary sharing under PDP Law 27/2022.

Signs: patient or next of kin; the desk shares only what each party needs.

Communication tree · how the desk works

One first call, six parallel conversations

The desk does not sit between you and the operator; it runs the calls that would otherwise happen one after another. The full method is on the How It Works guide.

Communication tree: the coordination desk calls the treating doctor, receiving hospital, licensed operator, insurer or assistance company, family and ground legs in parallel Coordination desk your first call, 24/7 Treatingdoctor Receivinghospital Licensedoperator Insurer orassistance co. Family oremployer Ground legsboth ends All six in parallel from the first call, then one written summary back to you

What we do

  • Take the first call and run the eight-field intake
  • Brief licensed operators and obtain per-case quotes
  • Chase fit-to-fly, hospital acceptance and flight approvals
  • Liaise with your insurer or assistance company on pre-authorisation
  • Arrange boat, ground and airport legs at both ends
  • Keep one written thread so nobody repeats a call

What we never do

  • Own or operate aircraft, boats or ambulances
  • Employ doctors, nurses or medics
  • Conduct rescue or search
  • Give a diagnosis or overrule the treating doctor
  • Promise a response time
  • Publish a fixed price

Corridor index · ten pages

Pick the page for your origin or corridor

Each page carries the airfields, the ladder, the document set and the honesty lines for that route. Nothing on them is priced; everything is quoted per case.

Standby retainers

Corporate Medevac Retainer Indonesia

For mining and plantation sites, liveaboard fleets, surf charters and expedition camps that want the desk briefed before anything happens: pre-registered coordinates, airfields, insurer contacts and signatories. A retainer readies the desk; it does not shorten any operator's time and buys no aircraft.

Cost and insurance, honestly

No price list exists. Every case is quoted.

A medevac quote is built from the aircraft class, the legs at both ends, crew, permits and the receiving hospital, so two cases from the same airstrip can differ widely. We will not print a number we cannot stand behind.

  • Dated public reference: the Penta Medica article (2022) gives indicative arrangement times of 5-7 h for helicopters, about 24 h for air ambulances and 24-36 h for commercial stretchers. It is a reference point, not our commitment.
  • Insurer pre-authorisation: most insurers and assistance companies authorise the mode and destination before any aircraft moves; naming yours on the first call is the fastest thing you can do.
  • Guarantee of payment (GOP): the receiving hospital and the operator usually need a GOP or a self-pay confirmation before acceptance is final.
  • Self-pay: possible; the desk will say plainly what each option is likely to involve before you decide.

FAQ teaser · 100 answers on the FAQ page

Is Indonesia Medevac an air ambulance operator?

No. It is an independent coordination desk and charter broker within Juara Holding Group. Licensed operators fly; hospitals treat; we coordinate and say so on every page.

What do I say on the first call?

The eight-field intake on the ERP card: who, where, condition, oxygen or ventilator need, treating doctor, insurer, passports, preferred destination. Send it on WhatsApp if a voice call is hard from site.

Can a helicopter come at night?

The working rule is daylight only, 06:00-18:00 local, and the operator decides. Night legs are usually boat or ground to a lit airfield for a fixed-wing pick-up at first light.

Domestic or international, which is faster?

Often domestic to Jakarta, because a foreign aircraft needs flight approval under PM 66/2015 even with the Article 16 medevac exemption, and the insurer must authorise. The Jakarta to Singapore page walks through when Singapore is still the right call.

Does a retainer guarantee a response time?

No. It pre-registers your site so the desk starts from a complete file instead of a blank one. Weather, daylight, operator availability and pre-authorisation still govern.

Contact the desk

Active case: WhatsApp first. Planning: any channel.

One desk, 24/7, for both. If you can, send the eight-field intake in your first message so the desk can start the parallel calls straight away.

  • Life-threatening emergency: call 112, 118/119 or 115 before contacting us.
  • Insurers and assistance companies: email is fine for case files; WhatsApp for live cases.
  • Retainer and pre-registration enquiries: use the form or the contact page.
